Another great feature of our uPVC windows is a thermal barrier, entrenched to reduce heat transfer.

How you can measure a uPVC window for installation:

Start by measuring the width of the window. Take measurements at the top, middle, and bottom from the jambs. Do not measure the existing window frame or trim. Use the smallest of these measurements when ordering your new window.

Next, measure the height of the window from the high point of the sill (the surface closest to the inside of the window) to the top of the window opening. Similar to measuring the width, you should take three measurements: one on the left side, one in the center and one on the right side. Use the smallest measurement to ensure a proper fit.

To check the squareness of the opening, measure the window diagonally from corner to corner. You will want to do this from the top right corner to the lower left corner and from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. Both diagonal measurements should be the same, indicating that the window is square.

Finally, it is very important to check the depth of the window opening to ensure there is enough room for the new window to sit properly. Measure from the outermost part of the window opening to the innermost part, at different points along the window’s perimeter, to confirm uniformity.

Remember, for replacement windows, obtaining precise measurements is critical for ensuring a good fit and proper seal. It is always good to reduce the size slightly to allow for shims and insulation when installing the new window.
